 We make small-batch, human-grade meals from scratch in our San Jose kitchen. Every ingredient is restaurant-quality. Real meats, local farm-fresh produce, no fillers, no byproducts, no gray mush. Our recipes are formulated by a certified pet nutritionist and meet AAFCO nutrient standards for all life stages. 

Yes! Our meals are made with ingredients we'd eat ourselves — and they're actually tested in our kitchen. We use meats sourced from US Foods and locally sourced produce. The food is technically safe for human consumption, though we made it for your pup. 

Yes. Our meals are formulated to support dogs of all breeds and sizes across all life stages. 

 We use eco-friendly compostable packaging, part of our commitment to the #LowestCarbonPawPrint and supporting a healthier planet. 

Please visit the menu page for a breakdown of how much you would feed based on your pet's weight. The feeding guidelines outline the amount you would feed per day. You'll split this amount in half for two meals a day. 

It takes about a day and a half for the food to fully defrost in the fridge.

At Buddy’s Batch we take pride in the quality of ingredients and meat products we use. All batches are made by hand with love and meet AFFCO nutrient standards for all of your pup’s life stages. Our formulas are curated by a certified pet nutritionist and use only Human Grade ingredients sourced from US Foods. Our meats and locally sourced farm fresh produce. We never use fillers or byproducts.

Though we did not create our dog food for humans, it’s safe for human consumption and human tested in our kitchen. 

We believe in a comprehensive holistic approach to our food. We use restaurant quality meats sourced from US Foods and local farm fresh produce because that's what we would want to eat. We have a local kitchen where we hand mix small batches of our product to weigh and seal into compostable packaging, so you know you're supporting a grassroots operation.

Absolutely, we always recommend talking to your vet before making any major changes to your dog’s diet. We stand by our formulas and quality of the food we are offering; please tell your vet they're welcome to reach out to us if they have questions before recommending this change for your companion. We are always happy to answer any questions.

Our small batch dog food is prepared with love in San Jose, California in a USDA approved kitchen. Our recipes are dog tested and dog approved. Orders can be picked up on weekdays from 8:00am to 3:00pm. You may also place an order for delivery depending on your delivery zones outlined on our about us page. Orders over $100 get free delivery!
